Nice explanation I've used exactly the same technique on an old project that is not online anymore, and it work pretty well.

I've created this post a few weeks ago that explain a few more things that can be done to improve indexing:

Hiya, great article, this has cleared up a lot of questions I had about deep linking and solves some of the problems I had encountered.

I guess this approach leaves only one problem (as you mentioned) that users sharing the url from the address bar won't be indesxd by google.

I like your approach to have a share button, have you managed to find another work around for this or are we stuck with the hash?

Thanks,
Alistair

Hi Matt,

First, pretty job!

I did a similar flash-seo test on site http://miluka.com.br, but for mains sessions only and it's work's fine (using php as server-side)

Now, i'm doing another project, but now with rubyOnRails instead of php. When i publish it, i´ll send to you.

If you disable JavaScript and goto http://www.umbro.com/en_UK/about/ you get a "Page not found" error.
